Section 7

Off in the distance there is a single woman standing on the beach, watching as the wave’s crash along the jagged rocks near the shoreline. The moon shines above the vast ocean and I can barely see the woman in the distance wading into the sea as the mist from the tumbling waves sprays over her. “She seems so familiar” I say aloud. The waves began to grow and I see her hesitate. I then realized what she was about to do. “No!’ I screamed. The current picks up. She stops, turns to me, and opens her mouth as if she is about to speak. But just before she spoke the waves swept her under when I realized that it was my mother. I hesitated for a few moments, but those moments of hesitation may have cost her life. I see her body go limp. As I swim towards my mother’s almost lifeless body, I feel the air slowly leaving my lungs. I start to feel myself go numb as I drag her body onto the shore, and then everything goes black.
“Luna! Luna please wake up! I can’t loose you again!” Said mom. I awaken to see my mother kneeling over me on the sandy beach. “Oh, Luna! I’m so glad that you’re alright!” Said mother. I see the tears start streaming down her face.
